Lilit Amirjanyan : St. Panteleimon

Lilit Amirjanyan

Lilit Amirjanyan

After a Russian icon. This icon represents the Saint in quite different facial features and treatment, with an expression of deep compassion on his face. There is a snake coming out from the box in his hand. It's quite a new rendering of the image. The snake symbolises medical power and wisdom. The colours are deep wine red, and orange, combined with green. The image was done as a gift to the artist's friend in Athens. Like this image, many of the author's icons, miniature, graphic and oil paintings are given as gifts or have been ordered and sold in different countries such as Armenia, Ireland, England, France, Holland, Finland, Poland, Italy, Ukraine, Russia, Iran, Israel, United Arab Kingdom, America, Canada, Argentina, Japan.
