<p style='text-align: justify;'> In this icon, St. Gregory the Enlightener is depicted as Catholicos (Patriarch) of all Armenians. This is because he had a significant role in the Christianisation of the Armenian nation. Thanks to him, Armenia became the first country to accept Christianity as the state religion. The icon is inspired by an Armenian icon in the Church of St. Gregory the Enlightener (Yerevan). In our version, the Saint is depicted on the background of illuminated Sky; the colours here are brighter, warmer, and more vivid than the original. </p>
