   "value": "<p>The photograph is of a painting of Dr Arnold.The original painting is by Thomas Phillips in 1839. Dr Thomas Arnold was a 19th century educator and was headmaster of Rugby School. Arnold is known for the numerous reforms he introduced to the school which impacted upon public school education in England. Thomas Phillips was an leading and prolific painter in England, known for his portraits of the leading figures of the time and was a member of the Royal Academy. Dr Arnold is depicted holding a large, open book. He is wearing robes, a clerical collar and looks off into the distance. Underneath the photograph \"Dr Arnold of Rugby. 1839. From the painting by T.
